Our school's English Debating Team has won a match in the 24th Sing Tao Inter-School Debating Competition by 3:0 (2008-11-29) (2008-11-29)
On 29th November, our school's English Debating Team has won in the "24th Sing Tao Inter-School Debating Competition - first preliminary" by a vote of 3:0 and one of our debaters was awarded "Best Debater" in this debate.
The motion of this debate was "Minimum Wage Law should be implemented in Hong Kong." and we are on the negative side. The motion was therefore defeated and the "Best Debater" of this debate is Chung Wen Xuan Vincent S.4C of our school. The other team members include Wong Ho Nam Oliver (S.7A) and Yuen Wai Yin (S.4B).
The competition is held on a knock-out basis. Our school will proceed to the 2nd Preliminary to be held between January and February 2009. At the same time, our school will also serve as a hosting school for the competition to be held on 10th January 2009.
