「夢幻敦煌 : 重現敦煌大美之境」展覽

Our S5 Chinese History students greatly benefited from their visit to “Dreamlike Dunhuang: Recreating the Grandeur of Dunhuang” exhibition 「夢幻敦煌：重現敦煌大美之境」展覽 , co-organized by the University of Hong Kong Libraries and the Chamber of Young Snow. This experiential learning journey moved beyond textbooks, allowing students to witness the grottoes’ magnificent artistry. They witnessed firsthand the synthesis of diverse Silk Road influences into a unique Chinese Buddhist tradition. Observing the evolution of mural styles across dynasties enriched their historical understanding, while insights into modern conservation techniques demonstrated how science preserves these treasures, instilling deep cultural pride.
